CBS Passes on 'Super Clyde,' Entertainment Weekly Tells Us Why

Sad news this week as word came out that CBS did not pick up Super Clyde for a full season. The news is pretty surprising for many people given the pilot's unique premise, strong cast and notable creator, Greg Garcia.

Today, Entertainment Weekly provided some reasoning behind this decision and why it ultimately didn't work out with Super Clyde and CBS:

"CBS was high on Grint, and still is. But the concept was deemed off-brand for the network and the net’s other comedies came in strong. Plus, successful comedy blocks are about creating flow, and there was also nothing compatible that CBS had to pair it with."
Rumor has it that Super Clyde may still be shopped to other networks, but there's no gauruntee.
