Fan Photos: Rupert Grint in California

Over the course of the weekend, some photos of fans bumping into Rupert in Southern California have been making their way across Twitter and Instagram. Rupert's been sporting a shorter haircut (possibly for a to be announced project?) and was spotted at Disneyland with former "Harry Potter" costar Tom Felton (Tupert lives!). He was also spotted checking out Bob Dob's art collection.

Music Section: February Cover

After a bit of an absense, we're back with a new addition to our music section! Talented filmmaker and musician, Joe Chang, has covered The Dead Boys' "Sonic Reducer" exclusively for us! You may recall The Dead Boys from Rupert Grint's upcoming film, CBGB, in which Rupert plays Cheetah Chrome, The Dead Boys' guitarist.

We're very pleased to feature Joe today on RupertGrint.net and invite you to check out his lovely acoustic cover!

Joe's shadowy video creates a slightly haunting effect, allowing you to only see him in silhouette. His uniquely shot, effectively performed cover is now live on our YouTube channel. More on Joe can be found by following the link below! We hope you enjoy!

Unclaimed Freight Productions, the company behind Rupert's upcoming film, CBGB, recently relaunched their website. You can check out their section about CBGB with numerous new movie stills at this link. First News on Rupert Grint in Charlie Countryman

Well.

I admit one of my main reasons for wanting to see The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman was that I'm a quarter Romanian.

We'd heard so little about it, so all eyes have been on Sundance, for news of the World Premiere screening.

Finally, some news, via USAToday :

Grint plays a drug-loving, aspiring porn star (his porn name is Boris Pecker) who befriends Shia LaBeouf in the story set in seedy Bucharest, Romania. His character enjoys powerful hits of Viagra that go well beyond the recommended dosage.

"He's so synonymous with the Harry Potter series, I think that's why he was so keen to do this," says Countryman director Fredrik Bond. "He's dying to be doing different stuff outside of the series and be acknowledged for it. He's an incredible actor. And it's so different from what he's done before. He had an amazing time.''

But British comic James Buckley, who plays his best friend in the film, had nothing but praise for Grint's departure role.

"He was great to work with. I didn't think about Ron Weasley at all. Which is the way it should be."

The two improvised many of their comic scenes together with LaBeouf. But the fun stopped in a scene when Buckley and Grint's characters find themselves shirtless and glued together back-to-back by Romanian gangsters.

"But they actually just glued us together," says Buckley. "It was really painful. And I'm a bit hairier than Rupert and it was hurting me so much. I hated it so much. And it was raining. So we were glued together in the rain."

Adding to their woes: The glue took days to come off, sticking Buckley to his sheets at night. Buckley called Grint to ask him how he was coping. Grint responded with his own Harry Potter-like cure.

Says Buckley: "Rupert told me he was using the little vodka miniatures in the hotel bar. He said it was really helping to get the glue off.''

Hopefully a distributor is as intrigued as I now am, and we'll have distribution news soon. We are inquiring about the nature of the project mentioned in the article and will update when we have news.
