Rupert Grint Chronology: July - August 2002

19 July 2002:
"Harry Potter 3 may not be out until 2004," CBBC Newsround

"The best news is that Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will all be back for the third film, The Prisoner of Azkaban.

That's the good news.

The bad news is, to give the children in the cast a good break, filming won't happen until at least early to mid-2003.

That means the film probably won't be out until 2004."

11 August 2002: In early 2002, Rupert had an official site in development. The site was registered as rupertgrint.co.uk (it is no longer active).

During this month, though, Counting Down managed a sneak peek at what the site would look like. It never launched, though. Check out the screencap below!

22 August 2002: Even though there are still nearly 3 months until the release of Chamber of Secrets, Aint It Cool News had the privilege of publishing the first review - and it was a good one!

"Chamber of Secrets has some things REALLY going for it. There are improvements, there are smiles, and there are scenes of fancy.

If there's one significant difference between the films, however, it concerns the actors. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are all back...a little older, probably not much wiser...but very different from before.

Rupert Grint's performance delivers more comic relief than before. Though it's not RON WEASLY AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS, Grint seems to like putting on a show by trying to steal every scene he's in. And for the most part, he does. It's easy for us to like Ron, and it's easy for me to like Grint in the part.
