Last month, a heartbreaking tragedy befell the Harry Potter community. Robert Knox, a young actor who landed the role of Marcus Belby in Half-Blood Prince, was brutually murdered. A memorial service was held today in honor of Robert. Several members from the HP films attended the service, including Rupert.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Knox family and all those who knew Robert. We strongly ask that any photos that may pop up from the memorial service to be withheld. It's just not appropriate.

it is COMPLETELY dumb of them 2 take pics of Rupert at Robs funeral. What type of lowlife would take pics at a funeral!?!ooooops mind my french but still, its ridiculous. and sites hav put the pics up?????i saw them and it was really sad. i spit on whoever put them up.

RIP Robert Knox P.S I loved the whole idea of wearing bright colours to the funeral! they should do it more often. Funerals were they put some funny things into the speeches are as good as funerals can get ^~^

Okay, to take pictures at a funeral is rude enough, no matter who it is! But to get up in someone's face when they're mourning the person that died and take a picture is just SORRY! I sure would like to know who was there with cameras. I would give them a piece of my mind! >:(

Yes I saw pictures of him at the funeral. I would be so uncomfortable having people take pictures of me when its about someone else, its clear in the pics he didnt like that they were taking pics of him during the service. There are some sites that have pics of him up i think they really should take them down out of respect. I mean Im sure the family may have wanted the media there for awareness of such deaths and all as someone has said but again this was about Robert Knox not Rupert. My heart goes out to the family and I think it was very sweet of Rupert to attend. Does anyone know if they have a suspect in the slaying?

I think it's painful to know that someone's dream is unjustly cut so soon. Still, I agree with what Tina said: he deserves as much respect as can be given, especially from Harry Potter fans.

I've seen the pics of Rupe as well. It hurts just seeing him sad. =[ I wish them all the best, I know the loss of someone close is hard.

Rest In Peace Robert.Its so sad that you could not see yourself on the new HP film! I wish the Knox family all well. It was very nice of rupert to go.
(but its strange dan did not go, he said he wold...Maybe he was too upset about it..dunno..)

Anyway, I hope the family will recover after their loss.

That is so sad what happened to rob. i wish the Knox family well. Rob will alwayz be their little angel, and I'm suppoting them fully.

Just so you know, Knox's family invited the press to the funeral to bring more awareness to knife killings. The more media attention this issue gets, the better. I'm glad Rupert was there and sort of flew the flag for the rest of the HP cast members. There is a MSN video of Rupert laughing with Rob Knox's dad and loads more pics of Rupert arrving/leaving the funeral. In the video, Rob's dad reads a message in front of the media explaining what his son meant to him. It was really beautiful and touching.

Theres an article talking about it, and it says Rupert lead people to the service, and they have pictures of him looking so upset. It breaks my heart to see him like that, but what happened to Robert was a horrid thing. We can only hope his family will recover, and so will the hp cast

I heard about this last month and I felt very sad for this young man and his family. When we all watch the movie in Nov I think we should all think about him and his last performance as a tribute his memory. I know I will. We may not know him but we can give him that respect when the time comes.
