Rupert Grint's holiday heaven and hell
In today's Telegraph, there is a simply fabulous and information packed Grinterview with Rupert about his holidaying habits, which are amusing and family centric, as you would expect, and can be read here.What’s your best piece of travel advice?The interview was apparently conducted while Rupert was at the FIA World Rally Championship in Wales, last October (hence my choice of accompanying picture).Always check your room thoroughly before you leave. Wherever I go, I always leave something behind. I’ve left suits, phones and even my wallet because I always spread my stuff about. I need someone to do a security sweep after me.
And your worst experience on holiday?
The family had decided to drive in convoy to Italy from England on the way to our ill-fated Lake Como trip. I think the entire trip was cursed from the start. I was in traffic in my Range Rover behind Dad’s and crashed straight into the back of his.
What’s the biggest packing mistake you’ve made?
I was recently visiting Paris and went to unload the car, only to picture my haphazardly packed bag still sitting on my bed at home. I’d entirely forgotten to put it in the car. I had to go buy an entire holiday wardrobe, and it wasn’t cheap.

Ah, caravanning holidays in the, ahem, "sunny" English summer.. the memories...
For those who don't know, Bognor (or to give it its full name, Bognor Regis) is a small coastal town in West Sussex on the South coast of England which haas long been a sort of comedy shorthand for "crap holiday resort populated by old people and bored kids in leaky caravans".
Other Bognor fact: On his deathbed King George V was supposed asked if he would like to go to Bognor, "for his health". He is alleged to replied "Bugger Bognor!" and promptly snuffed it. Rather an extreme way to avoid a holiday in Bognor, but anyone who's actually been there (especially to Butlins holiday camp in the 70s, like I did) might well understand his point.

This has to be my favourite interview with Rupert in a long long time - feel like it's not so often we get such an insight into him (and he seems so comfortable here!), the premiere promo interviews can get so so so repetitive...
you forgot your things at home @-) haha we're the same I often forget things I need to bring when it comes to vacations
