Rupert Grint On "Scary" Prospect of Life After Hogwarts, Plus New Photos
In another interview conducted at the V Festival over the weekend, Rupert Grint confessed he's finding the end of his Harry Potter career is taking some getting used to:
"It's been quite weird finishing Harry Potter...It's taking a while to adjust to it all and it does feel weird because it was such a regular routine in my life. Suddenly not doing it is strange and I don't know what I'm doing next."
In between sets at the Chelmsford music festival, Rupert talked about missing the friends he's made over the years on the Harry Potter set and a bit of uncertainty about his next steps:
"It was quite sad because it took a long time to get to know people and then I was saying goodbye. The wrap party was quite sad...It's kind of scary and I'm keen to carry on acting in various projects."
Even if Rupert's unsure where his career goes next, he mentions a certain type of role he'd like to play. He also talks about his desire to learn a musical instrument. We've heard about the banjo, the guitar, and the didgeridoo, but there are a couple of others he's tried to add to his repertoire that fans may not have known about up to now. Click here to find out what they are. Polka, anyone?
There are also a couple of new photos of Rupert taken at the V Festival, both with- and sans duckbill. See them in our gallery here.
UPDATE: And yet another photo, this time from the Daily Mail, and in our galleries.

Telegraph and Metro Publish Weekend Interviews with Rupert Grint
During this year's V Festival, Telegraph and Metro caught up with Rupert for some post-Potter life chat on what's next, reflections on the past few months without Harry, and what we can look forward to in the immediate future.
Rupert says about the ending of Harry Potter filming, "it’s weird because we’ll still have to do all the promos to the film next summer after feeling like it’s over." But some fans would argue, that's the best part!
When asked if he had the chance for some set souvenirs, Rupert responded that he did manage to get two and, "One is a golden egg [the magical goal of the First Task of the Triwizard Tournament] and the other is one of the chess pieces, because they are just so amazing to look at."
Be sure to click the links above for more on Rupert's ambitions for stage work and news about Eddie the Eagle!Comments (4) Added by Lorena August 22, 2010 (10:54PM)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 test screened today
The internets were abuzz earlier today with rumors that a secret screening taking place in Chicago today could very well be for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Pt. 1. Well, it very shortly became apparent that the rumors were true, with sightings of David Yates and Alan Horne being reported, as well as various tweets flying about with vague references to Warner Bros., etc.
Now confirmation has arrived with some of the first reports by testers who attended the screening. We're sure we don't have to tell you that spoilers abound, so we have opened a thread in our forums here where we are collecting reports as they come in. You can head over and take a look at the some of the reviews and recaps, but if you prefer to save yourself some suprises, enter at your own risk! Right now there are initial impressions in there, but we expect full reports to appear shortly.
What we can tell you without spoiling--and you'll be glad to know--is high expectations appear to have been solidly met! The lucky screeners are assuring us we are in for the best Harry Potter film yet, come November 19, 2010.
Some (non-spoilery) quotes:
"Saw an advanced screening of the Deathly Hallows. I was NOT prepared to cry like a b--ch today."
"I just saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. ...And it was beyond excellent."
"I thought it was an amazing treatment of the book...there were scenes from the book that were even intense in the book and watching them on the screen was even better, was even more moving, I think, than the book."
"This movie was a fantastic movie..."
Roll on November!

Rupert Grint Goes Quackers at V Festival
In what now seems to be a Music Festival-going tradition, Rupert was spotted today at V Festival in a completely quacktastic disguise.
We hope Rupert has had a lovely day shaking his tail feathers and stomping his flippers to some ducking brilliant musical beaks.

Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson in 'Deathly Hallows' Promotional Image
KansasCity.com has published a promotional image from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows featuring Daniel Radcliffe as Harry, Rupert Grint as Ron, and Emma Watson as Hermione.
The picture is a still from the scene in Part 1 when the disheveled trio enter Grimmauld Place after fending off an attack by Death Eaters in a London cafe.
We've seen the image previously in a smaller size and resolution as part of the 2011 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows calendars available for pre-order now through Amazon, but now you can see it in its medium res form here in our galleries.
UPDATE: Thanks to Warner Bros. for sending us the HQ version of the movie still, photographed by Jaap Buitendijk, which you can view here.
UPDATE 2: If you happen to be at the End of the Road Festival in North Dorset on 9 September, you can catch Rupert Grint's Cherrybomb, screening at 16:00 that day. For more information and to purchase festival passes, see the End of the Road website here.

Rupert Grint in Harry Potter Audio from Comic-Con!
Last month, four minutes of footage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 were shown at Comic-Con in San Diego, California. Vague fan accounts of the footage appeared over the internet shortly thereafter, but no goods made it onto the internet for other fans to see.
Though we still don't have visuals, our friends from SnitchSeeker have provided us with audio from the event, including some new and extended Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley quotes!
Rupert Grint's line are listed below. To keep all the purists from getting spoiled, we've placed the transcript in the whited out section below. Highlight to read!
>Ron: We've got to keep off the streets to stay safe.
Hermione: If Voldemort really has taken over the Ministry none of these places is safe.
Ron: You know why I listen to that radio every night? In case I don't hear Ginny's name, or George, or Mum's.
Harry: And you think I'm not listening, too? You think I don't know how this feels?
Ron: You do not know how it feels! Your parents are dead; you have no family!
Hermione: Stop, please!
