Reminders for Rupert Grint's Birthday Fan Projects
In the midst of all the exciting news that has been going out these past couple of days, we wanted to remind everyone about what we're doing to celebrate Rupert's birthday and how you can take part in the celebration!
1) Have you signed the birthday card yet?! We'll be unveiling a brilliant design for it on the 24th!
2) Our yearlong Beatbullying fundraiser is still going and in light of Rupert's upcoming birthday, now is the best time to make a donation and show your support!
3) Finally, we're putting together a magazine of sorts that will be filled with fun articles, cool bits and bobs, and your fan projects! What are these fan projects? Where in the World is Ron Weasley - where you send us your photos of Ron in a significant location around the globe. And Design a Hat! - in which we turned the table and ask you to get creative with some funky hat designs.
4) But we still need more from you for the magazine! If you fancy yourself an artist, we would love to include your original creations. As we all know, Rupert enjoys drawing and collecting art so now's your chance to show off your skills! Your artwork can be of anything; it does not have to include Rupert or anything Harry Potter-related. If you have any questions about this, please leave a comment below and we'll answer asap!
All entries for any of the fan projects should be sent to staff@rupertgrint.net.
Deadline for everything has been moved up to Monday, August 16th so we'll have enough time to print everything and make sure it gets to Rupert!

Deathly Hallows Feature in Entertainment Weekly
As banked interviews and set reports given during Deathly Hallows filming are being released into the wild, with just 99 days left until the film's release, the new edition of Entertainment Weekly, due out on the 13th, features Harry on the front cover and a Trio of interviews inside.
There is a major film spoiler in the following paragraph, which is in white text on white background - highlight if you want to be spoiled!!
“I’m ready to kind of move on now, I think,” Grint said between takes. “This film is a great way to finish the whole era, and it’s going to be sad, because obviously all my friends are here, but 10 years is enough.” The three of them were shooting a scene in the Room of Requirement in which Harry, Ron, and Hermione are searching for a horcrux — in this case, the tiara-like Ravenclaw diadem. Watson and Grint were both sopping wet. (In the film, Ron and Hermione have recently destroyed another horcrux in water and were pursued by a Voldemort-shaped tsunami.) Grint and Watson were kept soaked by crew members, who sprayed the pair down every few minutes.

Exclusive RGN Prize Draw : Meet Rupert Grint
Thanks to the downright luminous Cherrybomb marketing people, we find ourselves, this glorious morning, able to offer our readers a rather exciting prize draw.
And I have stopped shaking sufficiently to be able to type!
As we told you, yesterday, the Cherrybomb Facebook Group is running a contest to allow a lucky UK fan to come along to a Meet and Greet with Rupert, in London, on August 23rd.
He will be answering fan questions, and I suspect a round of 'Happy Birthday' will ring out!
We have had everything crossed and can finally uncross and confirm that RGN has been honoured with two tickets, for two lucky and excited and UK based fans, for the event!
I cannot stress strongly enough that this is for fans who live in, or will be in, the UK on August 23rd, and able to reach London.
I know that there will be worldwide sighs, but we really cannot fly anyone in for the day.
So, we have decided that the fairest way of organising things is to run a straight Prize Draw, rather than have us judge your input or worthiness, in any way apart from geographical.
If you really can be in London, on Monday the 23rd of August, please LOG IN, so we have a way of contacting you, and leave a comment to this post, declaring : I really can be in London, on Monday the 23rd of August.
Any declarations without logging in - and anyone who leaves personal contact details in their comment - will be deleted. Logging in is sufficient for us to contact you.
This time, next week - giving the winner time to make arrangements to get to London - we will number eligible comments and use a random number generator to pick the winner.
And you and a friend will have a rather spiffing day out.

Birthday Project 2010: Beatbullying Charity Drive
Rupert Grint's 22nd birthday is fast approaching and we've got a fabulous range of birthday projects going on once again!
While all of the birthday projects are worthwhile, there is one that gives fans a chance to really get involved in a truly meaningful way and perhaps get noticed by Rupert Grint along the way!

RupertGrint.Net will be continuing its 2010 fundraiser for BeatBullying, a charity organization which mentors victims of intense bullying and works to prevent further bullying in schools through education. This marks RupertGrint.Net's second charity event, following our fundraiser in support of The Teenage Cancer Trust in 2009!
To kick off this new season of giving properly, the Staff at RupertGrint.Net has already donated £150 to the cause!
Why you should donate:
- This charity is specifically recommended to us by the Grint family, so you know it's something that Rupert will support your donation toward!
- Every £1/$1 donation will go toward helping children who have suffered the traumatic effects of bullying and making sure that the vicious cycle of bullying is broken.
- You can get creative! If you haven't got much cash of your own to donate, start a mini-fundraiser of your own! We're partial to bake sales, but there's also walks, yard sales and the like! Take your pick and get going!
- Our campaign is running through JustGiving.com, a totally secure website which will automatically convert your donation to British pounds if you're donating from outside the UK. They accept donations via credit/debit card or PayPal.
What's the coolest reason to donate?
We'll send your name and photo to Rupert! We've already announced that we'll be sending him a birthday scrapbook. What you didn't know is that one part of the magazine will include a list of (non-anonymous) donors to the BeatBullying campaign! Just donate, then send your information to Kait to be included!
If you have any questions about the campaign, please contact Kait@RupertGrint.Net! Remember, every little bit helps!

Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, and Harry Potter Cast attend wrap party
The wrap-party-to-end-all-wrap-parties took place this weekend, as Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Felton, and a host of other stars of the Harry Potter franchise said a final good-bye to Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, along with crew, family, and friends.
Principal photography ended in June on the final two chapters, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2, but it's been a long good-bye for many of the cast who were whisked away almost immediately to inaugurate the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida, postponing the final farewell by almost two months.
It was expected that the wrap party for the final films could be a soggy affair, but it wasn't tears and champagne providing the moisture at the Warner Bros. / JK Rowling-hosted fete. Rather, it looks like the carnival-themed event was caught in a heavy downpour of rain. According to the Daily Mail, however, the wet weather didn't dampen spirits as guests rode on various carnival rides, like Chair-o-Planes and the Ghost Train.
Photographers caught many of the guests as they left the afternoon event. Like other stars such as Jim Broadbent and David Thewlis, Rupert was spotted driving himself, rolling in a new white Audi. Surprisingly, it looks from photos published in the Mail like Rupert let other people handle ice cream van duties.
