Rare Images from 'Thunderpants' (repost)

These images could probably be classified under "embarrasing baby pictures," but we couldn't resist! *cue cheek pinching*
We've been able to recover 14 promotional images from Thunderpants that were originally found in R-G.co.uk's gallery before it merged with RG.net. We understand news has been a bit slow lately, and hope this helps things be a bit more bearable!
These pictures are from the Thunderpants DVD (UK edition, we're assuming). For those who are unfamiliar with Thunderpants, it was Rupert's first film outside of Harry Potter and was originally released in 2002. You can watch the film's trailer here!

New Scene Added to HBP!

Many thanks to
Snitchseeker for letting us know that a new scene involving The Burrow has been written especially for
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
In an interview with the Australian Herald Sun, the film's producer David Barron has said:
"This was brought in because Jo (Rowling) was able throughout the quite lengthy book to keep dropping little snippets of what was happening in the outside world - there'd be people reading newspapers and talking about how somebody's parents had been killed, or somebody had been withdrawn from school because their parents didn't think it was safe.
And we're making aware that that the Muggle world is also experiencing these disasters, but thinks they are disasters rather than the work of Voldemort.
The book is peppered with those moments, but we couldn't do that quite so easily in the film.
So (the extra scene) comes in the middle of the film and it just reminds us the world is no longer a safe place. Even in what would normally be considered the safe haven of the Burrows, nobody's safe.
I think you'll like it. It's quite effective."
Hopefully this will mean even more screen time for Rupert!

Rupert Talks Formula 1, R/Hr in Favorite Couples List

We all know that Rupert is a fan of Formula 1 racing, but now we know who he supports!
We've dug up this article from The Sun in which Rupert discusses F1 driver Lewis Hamilton just before the British Grand Prix last July!
He said yesterday: “I’ve followed the sport for as long as I can remember. My dad raced in Formula Ford.Lewis has blown F1 totally open. He’s fun to watch as he’s aggressive and loves to win."
You can read the short piece here in the gray box!
Update: In honor of Valentine's Day, Entertainment Weekly has put up a list of Pop Culture's Best (Fictional) Couples. Included is our favorite Won-Won Ron and Hermione! Check out what the magazine has to say here. Thanks to Kristi for the link!
Since the day is upon us, we'd also like to stop and wish everyone a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
No matter what your love life may be like, the staff at RupertGrint.Net would just like you to know that we love you all!

First Images and Videos of Rupert at Gloucester Set!

(
Post Updated 2/8) Thanks to
Mara123 for
linking us to the first images of Rupert on the set of
Half-Blood Prince at Gloucester Cathedral! Filming has been taking place there since yesterday and is expected to continue until tomorrow.
The article states:
"Reporter Kate Nicholls managed to get a quick look behind the scenes - and saw crew busy making magical potions ready for the filming of the sixth book in the series - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince."
"Two sets of crutches were also spotted arriving at the set - leading to speculation the scenes after Ron falls from his broom in a game of quidditch could be being filmed. "

New Fan Art, Filming at Gloucester Cathedral
We've added two new beautiful pieces of fan art to the gallery tonight from
Lilly and
Jen.
While
Jen's artwork is an adorable depiction of a First Year Ron,
Lilly's piece fast forwards a few years post-
Deathly Hallows and is truly precious!
Something to look forward to this week! Filming for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be moving to Gloucester Cathedral from the 6th until the 9th. A majority of the principle cast (including Rupert!) are expected to be on location. We are, of course, keeping our fingers crossed that some behind-the-scenes photos and set reports surface!

Open Again! (UPDATED!)
After almost a month offline, we're very happy to reveal to you all the new look RupertGrint.net.
Our super-awesome new layout comes courtesy of my wonderful friend Sam - if you'd like to send her your thoughts on this or request a design for your site, you can email us at the usual address (she accepts payment of free houses in the Caribbean, diamonds, expensive couture and dates with Justin Timberlake - a small price to pay, really). Also, we would not be back open at all if it were not for the efforts of Ben, Josh and Dafyd, who saved me from many-a-night of tearing my hair out - thank you guys!
As always, please bear with us whilst we fix the few existing bugs with the layout, we hope for the site to be running as per usual by the end of the week.
Lastly, two things. Kait has recorded a great new Mini RupertCast News to get you all caught up again with everything Rupert-related whilst we've been gone.
Secondly, we have been made aware by Rupert's agent that, although he is considering some very "interesting ideas" at the moment with regards to new projects, nothing is concrete by any means. We will have more news on this for you as it develops.
So, back to business as usual... ;)
EDIT: We have now made it so that you do NOT need to register on the system in order to leave comments :)
Also, a big thank you to Karol over at Harry Potter Deluxe for sending over an new-old picture of Rupert with Ricky Wilson of the band Kaiser Chiefs from the 2006 NME Awards. You can view the picture here.
Thanks Karol!
