Rupert's New Film: Cherrybomb

RG.net can exclusively reveal that Rupert is currently working on a new movie titled Cherrybomb.

Set in Belfast, the plot is described to be a "a gritty thriller about two teenagers who get into trouble when they both fall for a beautiful new girl in town."

The film is currently in production and filming is expected to end in early August, scheduled for release in 2009. Check out the IMDB page for the film here.

Update: More information regarding the film is beginning to unearth! IMDb has updated to list two possible costars: Kimberely Nixon and Robert Sheehan.
Variety also mentioned Cherrybomb in an article back in February as did the Northern Ireland Screen.
"The film follows teenagers Luke, Malachy and Michelle as they embark on a wild weekend of drink, drugs, shop-lifting and stealing cars. But what starts out as a game turns deadly serious when the three discover that they can’t get off the wild ride they’ve set in motion."
