RG.net can exclusively reveal that Rupert is currently working on a new movie titled Cherrybomb.
Set in Belfast, the plot is described to be a "a gritty thriller about two teenagers who get into trouble when they both fall for a beautiful new girl in town."
The film is currently in production and filming is expected to end in early August, scheduled for release in 2009. Check out the IMDB page for the film here.
Update: More information regarding the film is beginning to unearth! IMDb has updated to list two possible costars: Kimberely Nixon and Robert Sheehan. Variety also mentioned Cherrybomb in an article back in February as did the Northern Ireland Screen. "The film follows teenagers Luke, Malachy and Michelle as they embark on a wild weekend of drink, drugs, shop-lifting and stealing cars. But what starts out as a game turns deadly serious when the three discover that they can’t get off the wild ride they’ve set in motion."
sounds like a good file. wonder if they'll release it in asia?

I absolutely LOVE the "Harry Potter" movies, and I LOVE the way Rupert Grint makes Ron come alive! Before I saw the movies, he was the spitting image of exactly how I pictured Ron! Keep it up Rupert! You're one of my favorite actors!

I hate that they always say "Rupert's first film out of Harry Potter"
his first film away from HP was thunderpants and then Driving Lessons.
stupid reporters need to get there facts straight.
I hope the film comes to the cinemas here too... i'm dying to see it! but it won't come out till next year... what character is Rupert playing?

I just read the update, and the plot to the story sounds amazing!! God, I can really picture Rupe doing something like this. He can have that cold look in him ( HP 4, when he stares after Harry when Dumbledore makes him go up) This movie is seriously going to be wicked fun.
